My recent employment history is as follows:

2000 – Current Independent Professional Visual Artist, based in Perth

I have been self-employed in this manner for 9 years and am constantly being inspired to create and increasing my knowledge base over a variety of subjects is in my interest and conducive to my development. I have been able to use this position to develop related skills, including sourcing of materials, management of a small business, web design, photography for the web and numerous practical skills such as framemaking and canvas stretching. 2008 – Current Vice-Chairperson, Outpost 6030 Inc, Manning, Australia

I support the chairman in the organization and the running of the monthly committee meetings for this Not-for-Profit community organization. I am involved in the decision making process. I assist the other committee members in their duties and use my 2 years of experience as Events-Coordinator to facilitate the running of the organizations events.

2006 – Current Arts Consultant, Perth, Australia

As a contracted Arts Consultant I have had experience in schools and galleries across a range of applications and subjects. I worked on projects which have had a direct positive effect on the subject or matter at hand. Highlights include being commissioned to produce a memorial artwork for a high school, being instrumental in the early stages of a database program for galleries, selling paintings to aid in the Victorian Fires appeal and hanging numerous exhibitions for schools and galleries.

2006 – 2008 Events Coordinator, Outpost 6030 Inc, Manning, Australia

For this Not-for-Profit community organization I organized and ran two annual events of 50+ people and several non-annual events of 20+ people. I was responsible for sourcing venues, tables, chairs and other materials particular to the event. I liaised with other committee members and operated everything within a minimal budget ensuring a high profit return which could then be used responsibly to improve the organizations facilities.

2007 – 2008 Sales Consultant, Gallery 360, Subiaco, Australia

I was employed in the position of Sales Consultant with this company which specialises in framing and the selling of locally produced original works. My duties include selling of prints and originals, framing consultations and customer service.
